Guided by this belief, we have undertaken initiatives that uplift and inspire young girl children in rural India through meaningful partnerships and impactful community programs.
Through our community initiatives, we have adopted Kasturiba Gandhi Balika Vidyala (KGBV) schools, creating opportunities for 800 underprivileged girl children to grow, learn and thrive. Through the flagship program ‘acSELerate’, we promote Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) — helping adolescent girls develop life skills such as self-awareness, empathy, resilience and effective communication. By nurturing these capabilities, we aim to empower them with confidence, independence and a strong sense of purpose for the future.

‘Project Dignity’ is another initiative that aims to educate and empower young girl children about menstrual health, breaking the stigma and ensuring they have access to necessary hygiene products. By fostering a supportive environment, the program supports the girl children to lead healthier and more confident lives. We are breaking the silence around menstrual health by providing essential education and hygiene products, empowering girls to overcome stigma and embrace their well-being with pride.

Another key community initiative, Project ACHIEVED , is designed to support children from low-income and underserved backgrounds by addressing the academic and emotional challenges that hinder their learning journey. The project primarily focuses on first-generation learners whose parents often struggle to afford basic educational resources, leading to irregular school attendance and learning gaps.

Project ACHIEVED works to bridge these gaps by providing essential educational materials to students, reducing the financial burden on families and encouraging consistent participation in school. Access to these resources helps children engage more confidently in classroom learning and build a stronger foundation for academic progress.

In addition to academic support, Project ACHIEVED integrates Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) interventions to nurture children’s emotional resilience, self-confidence, self-awareness, empathy, and coping skills. These life skills play a critical role in helping students manage challenges, stay motivated, and develop a positive and balanced approach to learning.

By adopting a holistic model that combines education with emotional well-being, Project ACHIEVED complements Axis Energy’s other community initiatives such as acSELerate and Project Dignity.
