Axis Energy has built strong strategic alliances to drive large-scale renewable energy development. In 2019, Brookfield invested in 210 MW of wind IPP projects developed by Axis Energy, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth journey. This partnership evolved in 2020 with the creation of a joint venture platform having a 51:49 shareholding structure to execute 1 GW of renewable energy projects. Further strengthening its collaborative approach, Axis Energy established another joint venture ‘Evren’ in 2023, maintaining the 51:49 shareholding pattern between Brookfield and Axis Energy, reinforcing its commitment to scaling clean energy capacity through trusted global partnerships.
Axis Energy and Brookfield strengthened their partnership in 2023 by establishing a joint venture platform — Evren — with a shareholding pattern of 51:49. Under the Evren platform, the partners aim to develop over 5 GW of wind and solar projects across India, backed by a total development pipeline of 4.62 GW and USD 845 million in committed capital from Brookfield. This collaboration reinforces their shared commitment to accelerating India’s clean energy transition through large-scale, sustainable and high-impact renewable initiatives.
Axis Energy has a strategic alliance with Suzlon and executed a tripartite agreement along with Suzlon and the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the development of 4,000 MW of renewable energy projects in the state. This collaboration underscores Axis Energy’s commitment to advancing large-scale clean energy infrastructure and supporting Andhra Pradesh’s vision for sustainable power generation.

He began his journey with large-scale Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects under the BOT model for NHAI, MoRTH and various state agencies. He later co-founded Axis Energy, where he continues to shape its strategic direction and expansion across the renewable energy value chain.
Under his leadership, Axis Energy has forged strong industry and financial partnerships, positioning itself as a trusted and agile player in India’s clean energy transition.

He plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, overseeing financial and commercial functions, and ensuring the Group’s vision is reflected in its daily operations. He has been instrumental in building strategic alliances, raising debt capital for key projects and spearheading partnerships, including the Group’s strategic collaboration with Brookfield.
Executive Director
With over 34 years of experience in managing secretarial and legal functions for large corporates, he brings extensive expertise in corporate governance, mergers and demergers, IPOs, capital markets, private equity and SEBI compliance.
Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in ensuring regulatory excellence and strategic legal management across diverse industries.
His prior experience includes leadership roles at IL&FS Engineering, Andhra Pradesh Urban Infrastructure Asset Management Ltd., Amravati Development Corporation, Embassy Group, Pennar Profiles Ltd and Sujana Universal Industries Ltd.
Director -Technical
With over 52 years of experience in leading major renewable energy organizations, brings unparalleled expertise in policy advocacy, strategic leadership and business development across the renewable energy landscape.
He has held several key positions within prominent industry bodies — serving as Chairman of the Indian Wind Turbine Manufacturers Association (IWTMA) for four years, Vice Chairman of the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) for four years and Secretary General of IWTMA for over twelve years, contributing significantly to shaping India’s renewable energy policies.
His vast experience spans Sales, Marketing, Materials Management and Finance, with a proven track record of building strategic partnerships and joint ventures that drive growth and innovation.
Prior to joining Axis Energy, he served as CEO of Pioneer Wincon Pvt. Ltd. and held key leadership roles with reputed organizations including the RPG Group and Tata Steel.
Director – Finance
With over 50 years of experience in Project Financing, both in domestic and international BOT (Highway) projects, he brings deep expertise in company law, taxation, finance and human resources.
He has played a key role in establishing joint venture platforms with Brookfield, strengthening Axis Energy’s strategic and financial foundation.
Before joining Axis Energy, he held senior positions with Andhra Bank and IJM, where he was instrumental in driving financial and operational excellence across major infrastructure projects.

With over four decades of distinguished experience in the infrastructure sector, has made significant contributions to the Andhra Pradesh Roads & Buildings Department, NHAI and other leading organizations.
He brings proven expertise in Arbitration & Dispute Resolution, Infrastructure Development, Regulatory Compliance, Structural Engineering & Quality Assurance and Renewable Energy. His extensive experience in project management and policy implementation has been instrumental in driving strategic growth and operational excellence.
Before joining Axis Energy, he held key leadership roles at Gayatri Highways Ltd, Louis Berger Inc and Sheladia Associates Inc., demonstrating deep industry insight and strong leadership acumen.
Chief Executive Officer
With an impressive 28 years track record in the renewable energy sector, brings unmatched expertise and visionary leadership to Axis Energy. His career spans across some of the most respected names in the industry including Mytrah Energy, Skeiron Group, Enercon India Limited, NSL Group and Axis Energy—where he currently serves as Chief Executive Officer.
A proven leader, he has driven transformative outcomes across Business Development, Project Execution, Operations and Regulatory Affairs. In 2015, he led pan-India operations for a renewable energy portfolio of approximately 2 GW—an exceptional achievement at a time when the industry was in its formative growth phase.
He has consistently provided strategic direction and oversight for state-level operations, with a sharp focus on optimizing organizational structures, enhancing planning processes, conducting robust risk assessments and ensuring timely and cost-effective execution of complex renewable energy projects.
He is widely recognized for his deep understanding of policy, regulatory frameworks and risk management. His longstanding role as a Member of the State Advisory Committee (SAC) to the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC)—currently in his fourth consecutive term since 2015—underscores his influence in shaping state-level renewable energy regulations and market developments.

His extensive career spans leadership roles in renowned organizations such as Zuari Cement (Heidelberg Group), Mytrah Energy, Ramky Group, Cyient, MOS Chip Technologies, Induspin Industries Ltd., Infotech Enterprises and the Central Government, where he played a pivotal role in driving legal governance and corporate compliance excellence.
Chief Financial Officer
With over 15 years of experience in project funding, credit analysis and strategic financial management, she leads Axis Energy’s financial strategy, capital planning and compliance initiatives—ensuring strong fiscal governance aligned with the Group’s growth objectives.
An engineering graduate with a Master’s in Management Studies from IIT Bombay, she has previously worked with L&T Infrastructure Finance, State Bank of India and HSBC, where she played pivotal roles in project finance, execution planning and credit evaluation.
Her expertise in financial structuring, risk assessment and funding strategy spans both infrastructure and renewable energy sectors. At Axis Energy, she continues to drive financial stewardship and strategic growth, reinforcing the company’s mission to scale sustainable energy solutions with agility and impact.
Head – Resource Analysis and Performance Monitoring
With over 36 years of experience in wind resource analysis across government and private sectors, Dr. Sreevalsan is an expert in wind resource assessment, site selection, wind data management, micro-siting, energy estimation and project planning.
His prior experience includes leading roles in Wind Research and New Project Planning at Siemens Gamesa, the National Institute of Wind Energy (NIWE) and the Government of Kerala. He has also authored the Indian Wind Atlas and the Wind Energy Resource Survey in India – Volume VIII, and served as a co-investigator for Volume I of the same series, contributing significantly to India’s wind energy knowledge base.
